Dragons Lair cover

This is a story of two twelve year old boys who one day overhear, from a stranger, who is just passing through their village, about a castle that is supposed to be not far from their village. Being adventurous boys they plan a secret trip in an attempt to see if the story about the castle is true.

Before the boys could start out on their journey to find the castle, they had to plan the details of their trip to ensure they would have enough supplies to last them. Making arrangements to acquire enough supplies and keep them hidden from the adults was a chore in itself.

The boys also had regular daily chores to do in the village in preparation for the coming winter. They couldn't start out on their quest to find the castle until the village was ready for the coming change in seasons.

Their trek through the wilderness to the castle makes for an engaging story. What they found at the castle was even more interesting and rewarding.
